I just took Phoebe outside for her morning patrol of the front yard and nearby locations, and we came across a possible northern bobwhite in my neighbors’ yard!

If you know of other quail-like birds that are more likely to be in northwestern #Vermont in December, alternative potential IDs welcome.

(Terrible photos because I was using my phone and also focused on keeping Phoebe well away from the bird.)
