book recommendation: "algorithms and data structures for massive datasets" (manning) - super accessible, contains all the cool shit algorithms of my day to day work plus real world examples where/how/why it is used. great for everybody liking databases, distributed systems or both 😂 (excellent companion to kleppmann's designing data intensive applications)
