I really think that open source software is the government's Achilles' dick. Once the double-spend problem of electronic cash was solved, their monopoly on money was ended, and consequentially this soundest money ever is giving tremendous power to a disproportionately wise and principled bunch who are inclined to actually eliminate the monopolies of the courts and to deligitimize statism in the eyes of the public. This new elite will perceive Bitcoin as the safe haven for their assets, rather than the shaky foundation of any democratic empire's useless funny money.
