Terrafied Kestrel on Nostr: The saddest thing to me is the understanding that–looking back across the past ...

The saddest thing to me is the understanding that–looking back across the past 10,000 years of human history, beginning with the pre-historic food crisis that resulted in the switch to agricultural subsistence and ultimately resulted in the maurauding war-hungry Indo-Europeans deciding to hunt other people and thought-colonizing effectively the entire planet–that the problem is ultimately not one of resource availability but resource control, and, given the cultural foundations of our thought processes (which focus on a patriarchal love of strength, control, and weaponry) and the global population in relation to the carrying capacity of the planet, that the problem is only going to get worse…

…if we keep thinking like fucking war-ass-mongering Indo-European patriarchal weapons lovers.

In other words: Unless the witches start running things we're summarily fucked.
