I do know friends of friends who don't move, there's a few of them. There are repercussions to this, but they have been doing it for a while. Not sure I would do that tho.

The no -mooring fee is doable, and I know other people who are ok with the moving lark. But on top of the logistics of living on a boat amd the maintenance, it's the break ins, the general madness, the annoying drunk people walking by, the bike thieves zooming down the tow path etc etc etc that actually makes it a no for me.

I was stopped on my path a couple years ago, cos they pulled a body out. That also didn't help.
