Now, we've seen cases where courts have been keen to establish the application of EU data protection laws to activities that they feel should be regulated by then - for instance, the CJEU in Google Spain, and the extent to which one can align the activities of one entity in the EU with the activities of another entity outside the EU.
But this is not limitless.
Personally, I remain wary of any "oh yes it definitely does!" thinking without clear reasoning.
