Andrew Lewis Workshop on Nostr: One thing they don't tell you is that our capacity for empathy increases as we age. ...
One thing they don't tell you is that our capacity for empathy increases as we age. Rage burns inside us for the injustices of the world, but love makes cowards of us all so that we reach for a shield instead of a sword. We look away and bear the shame of our own inaction to protect those we love the most. So they can live another day in peace and not have to sacrifice their own ideals or make an impossible compromise.
And your knees hurt and your eyesight sucks. But mostly the first thing.
