ODELL (npub1qny…95gx) Once there was a young elephant who was chained by one of its legs to a stake in the ground. As a baby, the elephant tried repeatedly to break free from the chain, but it was too weak to do so. Over time, the elephant grew to accept that it could not break the chain and stopped trying. Even when the elephant grew into a powerful adult capable of easily breaking the chain or pulling the stake from the ground, it never attempted to escape because it had internalized the belief that it was powerless against the chain.
