"content": "My other main issue is that games running in proton via xwayland (and other things) *need* to be closed out before you suspend your computer or hibernate. I have had to restart my desktop several times now because I left a game open and it crashed wayland because it couldn't redraw everything (there was some issue with the context in which it was being drawn, leading to GNOME just exploding). I am pretty sure that is something that will be fixed (I know Plasma users have it too). It's not a deal breaker for me because I honestly prefer the responsiveness of wayland over Xorg, and I need to get into the habit of not letting my games run overnight anyway. The other issue with wayland is a lack of accessibility (screenreaders are kinda broken af due to the protocol changes) and I hope that progress is made towards that. Until it is, for my blind friends who rely on things like Orca I cannot recommend wayland right now.",
