That's how my last server became a server too. It was just a desktop, and then I installed a server type app on it, and then another, and then I bought a new computer and shoved the old one to the back and disconnected the monitor and keyboard/mouse, and it just kept on chugging. I bet there's a lot of former desktops that get that promotion. 😉
