After a recent experience where the conference needed me to use their template, I'm working on a blog to explain that I'm done with that. My current arguments:

It's a waste of time.
Re-working bullet points to work in a smaller space/wider font is a waste of energy and makes the content objectively worse
The colors stink

What other arguments exist?
