You don’t want your money to be changing and forking every chance you get for some sort of “improvement”. You want the base layer to remain impervious to change, such as Bitcoin’s layer. That’s the only way to guarantee money can be transferred through time — you need it to be reliable. Experiment all you want on second and third layers.
