I'm thinking maybe a browser extension that you grant your private key and provide your relays to. It could then have the option of moving your entire back catalog of posts to Nostr or just new ones.
The obvious problem that arises here would then be that it would be Desktop only and only sync when the computer is turned on and the browser is open.
Another approach would be a script that could be run on a server to make sure the syncing works all the time, but this would be too advanced for normal people to set up.
I believe https://nostr-twit.glitch.me is able to sync Twitter accounts to "new" Nostr profiles, but this is all based on the trust of that server not to mess with the posts and this would mean people would have to follow 2 accounts for the people already here.
I'm thinking the only way this could be done where it would be easy enough for normal people would be to have a website where people can enter their private keys and the server would then make sure to keep track of new tweets and post them using the given keys. Tough, this solution sucks as it requires trust.
The best way I can think of would be the browser extension approach, this could potentially be extended by a mobile app that runs in the background or web apps they can visit to "refresh" their statuses.
