Ah, highlight videos are fun but probably the single most unreliable way to assess a player. What looks interesting about J. David is his versatility and top-class defensive work which none of the clips really show. His numbers, if you dig into them, are very good for what Ange wants. Similar, if not better, than Richarlison in many aspects, and I think that's the point. Much, much better than En-Nesyri's numbers. Have a look (switch to per 90):
