Agree. I hate the mix of podcasts. There are some in Tidal, but originals I think (like Apple Music Radio).
It’s really disingenuous for a premium music service to fold in public podcasts. If they can get you to listen to free audio content within their app, then they can keep their costs down for the actual product. They simply don’t like paying creators.
There’s also no added value in using their app, it’s awful at tracking podcasts.
The incentive should be to surface brilliant music, so subscribers feel like they’re getting the most value.
