Okay, this is eating my brain now.

Let's say there's a 50% tax on anything 2 billion or up. So there's a billionaire who owns a company. That 2 billion gets taxed into 1 billion, which is evenly distributed amongst 1,000 employees, who also get taxed at 25%. So they have 750,000 each. Each 750,000 gets divided by another 100 people, who are taxed 12.5%. Each person, presuming an equal distribution of the entirety of these amounts, makes $6,562.50. There's also nothing for the 1,001 people on top because we calculated a perfect distribution without factoring in the expenses that each normal person would have.

Let's say there's no tax: 2 billion / 1,000 => 2 million / 100 => 20,000... 6,652.5 is approximately 33% of 20K. Meaning that a 67% tax has effectively been levied on the lowest class, due to higher tax rates up the ladder.

Like. Listen. I'm liberal as fuck, and I don't believe in hoarding wealth like a squirrel on crack hoards acorns. BUT. If you tax every person, all the way down the line... You're fucking EVERYONE more and more, as you go down.

To clarify: the 2 billion will never be equally distributed amongst all the workers, there will never be a perfect distribution. But if you're removing even the POSSIBILITY of that distribution being ultimately beneficial to the lowest class... TF are you doing?
