That's because US-owned corporations are subject to the US Patriot & Cloud Acts.... and any NZer (and, for goodness sake, any gov't agency holding NZer data!) should know that's a terminal flaw in any claims to data sovereignty & respect for our privacy legislation. We need govt decision makers who 'get' this. The current crop don't & need to go.
