I was doing work on a contract with the Army. We were trying to schedule a meeting. and I suggested early morning.
One of the Army guys asked, "How early do you want?" I answered hesitantly, "Uh... 0700?" Everyone at the table agreed that this was a reasonable time.
I was relieved that is was taken so well and said, "I guess I should remember that Army people are used to getting up early." One responded, "Early? I grew up on a dairy farm. I joined the Army so I could sleep in."
