Insane Nerd Ramblings (nprofileโฆ83w9) LoliHat (nprofileโฆsa8d) ๐ ๐ผ๐๐ผ ๐๐ต๐ฎ๐ด๐ฎ๐๐ฎ๐ถ (nprofileโฆg2t5) supersid (nprofileโฆtffa) one thing tho. Tolkien's elves are basically pure beings of light. Much like the dwarves are of rock (ROCK AND STONE!!!).
Cross breeding was slightly looked down one, specifically for elves because the elves were basically immortal. Unless they died of physical means, like a blade to the heart. They didn't die. Age, desires, sickness, nothing killed them. So if the too a mortal as a spouse, man, dwarf, hobbit. Sure they could make kids by mortals die of age elves don't.
Ah but I'm on a tangent and fiction.
Reality, if you did have some ageless race, they would undoubtedly have shorter life races as spouses at some point, and like humans they would grieve for a time after thier death and then get over it. Always remember but no long weighed down.
