A cougar wanders onto a rock pinnacle just off a popular beach here on the Oregon coast, shutting down the beach. Good news: The cougar removed itself, without harm to humans or the cougar itself. Hot weather and the aftermath of recent fires has disrupted the food chain in the Oregon coastal range, driving bears and other wildlife into towns to look for food.
