This is heresy but I absolutely do not give a shit about cross-app posting, and cannot imagine a single use case where it makes sense. But SO much of the fediverse seems to want to be able to, like, reply to lemmy/kbin from Mastodon. This is nonsense, of course.
You may be running up against some effect of that.
