tbh i don't know why nintendo decided to make it so not only can you not delete game updates on the switch, but also make it so if you wipe your switch entirely, it'll still remember what the latest version of a game is, and demand you to update it before playing
it really fucks with speedrunners when nintendo patches out all the good glitches for a single player game, and obviously multiplayer games make it so you need to update before you play
