menherahair (nprofile…kaam) 夜化 (nprofile…3p6r) So long it is not torn and tattered, clothes can function as intended for 5-10 years. Haven't observed cotton or denim to stretch notably unless it is woven with synthetic nonsense and so long you are careful with blades, actually tearing either can be a feat in itself. To not bother with discoloration, you can simply choose uniformly dyed or undyed textiles. It's the synthetic crap like winter jackets being most fragile, I'm yet to find one to last more than few years without damage or acquiring some dust-attracting static charge while properly insulating at -20 for a few hours.
