we evaced to SJ, where my husband managed to get us a corporate apartment from his work for the duration. Several of my friends went to their relatives etc nearby and about half of them had to double evac further away. It was raining burning ash in SV!
This place has massive defensible space and a clear shot down the hill to the Sound. It’s perfect. I’ve got so many animals now, but there are enough crates to throw everyone in the truck. Fucking fires, SMDH.
Did you see a local hiker got lost in Big Basin for like *ten days* in June? They finally found him and he walked out, so he wasn’t too injured. He got disoriented in the burned area, poor guy.
