Eventually got back from the initial leg of my journey with no way to get a train to my destination due to closures. Did get the train company to sort a taxi (as there was also no bus available to get back there either), so that was something. I expected to be in bed last night by about 11.20pm, but it was getting on for 1am in the end. As it is, I'm just exhausted - can only be glad I wasn't racing for something time-critical.
