We used too “async” “play-by-post,” but zoomers gonna zoom and misuse words like “async” in its place for reasons nobody with a functioning brain can comprehend.
That being said, I’ve noticed that online games in general tend to collapse. I think it’s because the people are usually total strangers and because if you’re not a teenager you don’t really feel obligated to show up every time. Don’t get your way? Even slightly inconvenienced by the schedule? Just not feeling it in the exact instant you’re slated to be up?
Fuck it, just quit.
