sometimes people do this gotcha like ‘if we actually stopped immigration who would pick your fruit!’ but think about this: the US needs a permanent population of “illegals” so we DO have people to do jobs we won’t adequately compensate or regulate. it’s not that MAGAs don’t realize we need immigrant labor. they just know that The Economy (rich peoples yachts) needs those humans to be classified as subhuman (alien/illegal) and remain exploitable: an infinite, invisible, untouchable caste
