I expect many Catholics will believe this to be true -- walk through a holy door and their sins are forgiven.
This is simply a devilish lie. Nothing less. There is only ONE WAY to receive remission of sins, and that is through true repentance of sins and an appeal to Jesus Christ to forgive those sins. I can cite probably a hundred Bible texts to demonstrate the lie about 'walking through holy doors' but maybe what St Peter said to a group of religious clergy on the day of Pentecost will suffice:
"Repent, and each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. 39 For the promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off, as many as the Lord our God will call to Himself.” 40 And with many other words he solemnly testified and kept on exhorting them, saying, “Be saved from this perverse generation!” (Acts 2:38-40).
Your choice -- who will you believe? St Peter the Apostle, or Pope Francis?
