BTW I'm all ears for suggestions on the easiest, most fool-proof, least maintenance requiring solution for in person Bitcoin LN payments.

I'll be looking at several custodial and self-custody apps to see what is the best fit.

Just came back from a cafeteria that has been accepting bitcoin for years... they had been using Alby (npub1get…0nfm) for the past year. Of course they had not heard of the change to AlbyHub and of course payments had stopped working for months... I found out today when I tried to pay. Workers at the cafeteria used to have their own wallets fot tips... but most had changed phone or job.

I'll get them back online. But it goes to show that if there is no recurring demand (at least one daily payment) the incentive to keep things working just isn't there...
