R. C. Sproul on money in 2016:
"How is it possible that we, as a nation, will exchange beautiful paintings, homes, clothing, food, televisions, or automobiles for paper?
Because we haven’t really understood that there’s no intrinsic value in the paper—and as long as everybody’s doing it, it tends to work.
But the lessons of history also indicate that currency that is not backed up by something of real value eventually collapses, and the wise steward takes non-valuable paper and converts it as quickly and as wisely as he can into items of real value."
Sproul was clearly a gold bug. I think he would have liked #Bitcoin if he had lived to see it play out.
