If they truly believed in Bitcoin as the circular economy, they wouldn’t need fiat YouTube monetization at all. If they really wanted to stack sats, they’d be driving their audience to NOSTR, where every zap aligns with their supposed principles.
Saying, "I convert it into Bitcoin" is just a cop-out. Why not earn in Bitcoin directly instead of feeding the fiat beast first? Monetizing in fiat isn’t just a necessary evil—it’s an active choice to keep using the old system because it’s more convenient and lucrative.
A real Bitcoin-first approach would be:
No fiat-based ads on YouTube
Only sponsorships that pay in BTC
Redirecting audience to NOSTR for zaps
Encouraging Lightning payments over Patreon/PayPal
But they won’t do that because YouTube’s fiat system is more predictable, and they fear losing revenue. So, the real question is: Are they using Bitcoin to escape the system, or just using Bitcoin to profit within it?
