I grew a close relative, Solanum glaucescens but wasn’t impressed with the flavor. It also grew like a beast and had fearsome thorns. It was perpetually stabbing me so I let winter weather compost it bc there was no way I was bringing that into the garage to overwinter. It grew like a thicket of long woody vines. Everyday, I’d have to wind a shoot through a trellis. It was a monster.",
