One thing I've noticed about the people I have been soft-blocking is that they often follow a LOT of people, like more than twice as many as I do. Which might explain why they are still following me despite clearly not sharing my worldview: they don't see many of my posts and/or are just used to scrolling on by.

I don't want those kinds of shallow relationships with people. I probably follow too many people and have too many followers as it is. Very happy to be back down around 700 followers after having allowed it to get over 1000.
