-DoJ is required to sell any cleared assets to cash, and transfer that cash to treasury once sold.
-Clearance requirements are based on time, legal case outcomes, expiry of any claims, review by judge and are managed by career employees not political appointees.
-To change that requires an act of Congress with a majority vote in both houses, because right now the Treasury cannot legal hold non-sovereign issued assets except SDRs.
-It is not within the scope of presidential authority to change that, nor to direct that.
-If you want treasury to have diverse assets, or a new SBR, it must be through Congressional act. So elect congressional reps who understand this stuff.
