They're a non-profit organization that focuses on spreading awareness of the benefits of free software as well as the pitfalls of proprietary software. They maintain lists of reocmmended software and distros as well as hardware that infringe on your freedom less than alternatives or not at all. They have a variety of campaigns made to educate users as well as post videos on a Peertube account towards the same goal.
