"Niloufar Hamedi and Elaha Mohammadi, two Iranian journalists, were arrested in 2021 and 2021 respectively, and were charged with collaborating with a foreign government, conspiring to commit a crime against national security, and propaganda against the system. After 13 months of imprisonment, Hamedi was sentenced to 7 years, 5 years, and 1 year in prison for the same charges. Mohammadi was sentenced to 12 years in prison. Both journalists were released on bail and later acquitted of the charges. The case was closed after the appeal court's final verdict."
