TikTok deserves to be destroyed, but I hate the fact that we had to pass more Internet jannying bills to do it. That being said, China knows what it's doing, because they've long understood how America leverages social media platforms to fuck with other countries and they're just copying our homework. Kicking firms like Google out of the country in favor of domestic alternatives was a legitimate defensive measure much in the same way booting TikTok out is for us.
