Never fails. I download Euro Truck Simulator 2, play for a session or two, they needlessly update the nearly 10 year old game, and break it again.
So I delete it. Again.
At this point, I'm just going to delete it from my steam library. What a regrettable purchase. I hate steam's forced update of single player games.
