One of my favorite trees in one of my favorite places -- the "Riding Oak" of Newbury (Quascacunquen -- Agawam word for "waterfall", referring to the nearby Parker River). The tree is located by the Little River, at the base of "Old Town Hill", in the middle of the "Great Marsh" of Newbury, MA. The marsh is being restored to its natural state after being chopped up for salt hay harvesting years ago.
