Hoss “Cyber Jester” Delgado (npub1scj…el3p) CrunkLord420 (npub1dxq…vj3p) TheAntiE-CelebLeague00 (npub17z4…npsw) The sad reality is that you don't need a boot put down. You need millions of people to take a stand for people that say things that most people disagree with.
1st amendment shit is inherently unpopular because it's only challenged when the message is popularly reviled and/or disagreeable. The vintage ACLU people doing this were some of the few people I regarded highly, and their remnants still are there with organizations like FIRE. But leftoids are correct that when corporations control speech or really any other right, that they can be just as or even more oppressive than any government. The whole point of decentralization, in my opinion, should be the opposite of boots on anyone.
I've lived for a very brief time, in the grand scheme of things, but I've witnessed countless flips and flops of politicians demanding restrictions of rights, when thy are in power, only to protest that when they're not in control. These people are not your friends. They are your enemies far more than anyone who has different opinions than you. They will go to any lengths to try to set you against anyone else as long as it's not your politician. They are not scum, because alge at least does photosynthesis and produces oxygen. Thank you for coming to my TED talk
