#art #history: when georges franju chose a young edith snob (born #otd in 1937) for her first (admittedly, small) role in ‘head against the wall’/‘la tete centre les murs’, she cut her thespian teeth alongside such luminaries as jean-pierre mocky, charles aznavour, anouk aimee & pierre brasseur. this experience set her up nicely for the film that made her famous: 1960’s ‘eyes without a face’/‘les jeux sans visage’.
