I use an application on my Mac called Printopia. It allows me to set share any connected printers over the network as airprint printers. A while back when I had a G5 with a working install of foomatic/rip or whatever it was to use an imagewriter II on it I was able to share it with printopia but it screwed up the margins.
Seeing all this #marchintosh stuff reminded me that I really wish there were airprint server software like Printopia but for classic Mac OS or other classic computer OSes.
I want to ask someone I have over if they could print something out for me, tell them to choose a non-descriptive printer name that shows up on their phone and have the dot matrix hooked up to the Apple IIgs behind them startle the fuck out of them as it starts belting it out.
