I saw a toot saying that web development is harder now that it was 10 years ago.
IMHO, that's just not the case. It is much the same and, if anything, a bit easier, depending on exactly what is in scope of "web development".
It remains trivial to put up a website.
Write the page, and upload it.
Static site, looking the way you want? Dead easy.
Want a CMS? Pretty easy.
If you want to go down the rabbithole of whatever today's favoured framework is, do it. But that's your choice!
