The spirals of history replay the intents of history, the events echoing what came before. And like the interlocking circles of the Mayan calendar, there are repeating cycles of different lengths. In the 120(ish) year cycle we are seeing this cycle’s Stalins, Hitlers, and Himmlers emerge, as well as the mobs who give them power. The Maquisards are emerging too. It looks different, because each cycle does. But the intent is the same. The people similar.
