Charlie McHenry on Nostr: Though I don’t celebrate the religious aspect of the holiday season, I do love ...
Though I don’t celebrate the religious aspect of the holiday season, I do love inspirational #ChoralMusic - and that means I listen to some liturgical tunes. I particularly love the work of Morten Lauridsen, a contemporary composer and former USC professor who was resident composer for the Los Angeles Master Chorale for a term. HIs “Magnum Mysterium” is glorious, a real masterpiece of choral composing. The Chorale does the best large ensemble version of the piece. This version is from the world’s best small choral ensemble #Voces8 and if you like this sort of thing, you’ll love this #MusicVideo
