#WritersCoffeeClub - Day 29. What is your editing process? How do you know it is done?
Once I have my basic story written I then go back, chapter by chapter. Edit by inserting bits, removing others, moving sections, checking spelling/grammar.
Once I feel it's reasonably okay, I transfer the MS from Scrivener into Word (my publisher wants .docx files). I send off a copy to my Beta reader while I go through the MS few more times.
Once I get the okay, fix anything the Beta found, I do a final edit by switching to 'read aloud'. Amazing how many little errors, missing words, etc you find by listening.
All done - then it's off to my publisher.
