I think one of the things that depresses me the most about #AI is that kids are going to uncritically slurp up the drek and art creation tools as "normal", same as our generation did with uncited internet sources, and it will just become an engrained part of technology even after the bubble bursts.

I can only hope that sometime soon, there will be some breakthroughs that make smaller language models better and more accurate rather than just continually slurping up every single human written word in the world and consuming geometrically more energy forever.
