Aaron Lansky, whose quixotic efforts led to the creation of the Yiddish Book Center, is retiring. Good writeup of his efforts over the years, his book Outwitting History (2004) is also very accessible but a lot has happened since then.

If you've ever studied #Yiddish the YBC's digital collection is a must-visit. Truly nothing like it even for the other languages I have studied. I haven't had the pleasure of visiting their campus in person yet.
