npub1ka8l0w9cfcqgmermmc4tq2p8a7mgpgqw9qyxdetn4hlaj9d7chpq3nr9gt (npub1ka8…r9gt) No, but I spent 2 weeks helping move two friends (who happen to be gay) out of the Webster Groves area west of St. Louis 15 years ago. On the surface, people were pleasant, but my experience while I was there was that there was culturally-acceptable casual racism and homophobia and a low tolerance for liberal ideas or thinking. YMMV of course, and at least the parts of the state I drove through were charming to look at.
I made the comment because my sincere belief would be many that live in MO would basically say something to the effect of "well, liberal signs were posted, what did they expect?" vs. "Everyone is entitled their own opinion and to express it properly".
