Nobody really thinks it's weird. The largest clientele seems to be boomers using it for pain and PTSD. Literally little old Southern church ladies are some of the most likely to use it here.
It's kind of funny in a way.
I was at my dispensary yesterday and they said they've already seen people with a card number over 22k! (They're issued in order here. I got mine back in May and I was in the 11k range).
Mississippi has a population of almost 3 million which means we aren't too far off from having 1% of the population with access to medical marijuana
That's a lot considering the program has only been going about 6 or 7 months here.
Honestly, I'd be more surprised if the feds didn't try to legalize it.
It would certainly drastically lower the price of medical weed since it'd be allowed to cross state lines. It'd also make travelling way easier.
